As part of transport safety policy of Volga Shipping Company (part of UCL Holding), 34 motor ships of VSC have been equipped with security cameras. New equipment has been installed to prevent unlawful interference or it arranging.
The installation of the cameras on ships of Volgo-Don type, Project RSD44 and pusher tugs was performed during the internavigation period in full compliance with legal requirements under technical supervision of Russian River Register.
Security cameras, microphones, video display units and video recorders installed on the ships were made in Russia, certified and approved by Russian River Register.
Basing on the results of actual operation of the newly installed equipment, Volga Shipping Company is going to continue its work on further improvement of it video surveillance systems.
